Very sorry to learn about the sad demise of Prof.V. G. Gurjar. Prof.Gurjar had been a colleague and friend of mine for more than four decades. His Electrochemical lab was just opposite the Automation and Instrumentation Lab where my office was located. I have had numerous interactions with him on technical and personal issues. He had set up a good Electrochemical Lab and one area of his research was on Electro Organic Synthesis. He used to even run  a course on this topic as a PG Elective. Later on he had started work on modeling of Electrochemical Reaction Systems. He had also initiated some work on Fuel Cells.
Prof.Gurjar was a warm and friendly person and had cordial relations with all. I have fond memories of the interactions I had with him during my  long association with him. My condolences to the bereaved family. May his soul rest in peace

Very sad to know that  Prof. Gurjar was no more. He was a very friendly, soft spoken and cheerful person.  As far I knew, he was non-controversial in the department. He was very active in promoting Rane society and thus helped many IITians to have accomodation outside IIT.  My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved  family members and pray to GOD to give them enough strength & courage to bear the loss..

I came to know Professor Gurjar during my short visit lasting four months as a visiting professor to IIT in 1985. Since both Dr. Gurjar and I share a common research interest in electrochemical engineering, we collaborated on a couple of research projects together. I found him to be a very warm and genuine human being. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family.
