Hydrogen acts as both an energy carrier and possible alternate for use as a fuel and a source of heat. India has set a National Hydrogen Mission to generate 5 million metric tons of clean hydrogen using renewable energy sources by 2030. In this SLP course, you will self-learn about methods and processes to generate hydrogen using clean sources. 1) Identify new electrochemical routes to make hydrogen and 2) identify uses for the hydrogen generated. Particularly, perform a thorough literature search on the Indian fine chemicals industry to identify routes and sources to make hydrogen. Perform a quantitative analysis on the possibility of achieving 5 million metric tons of hydrogen by 2030.
