Assessment of Risk of Special Plant Operations using AI

Many special plant operations such as start-up, shutdown, hot work etc. can embody elevated risk compared to those of normal operation. While there are dedicated SOPs to manage such activities accidents often occur to the dynamic and complex nature of the task which can cause a deviation from the SOP.  The project will involve development of an AI-based "expert system" to alert plant managers of the inherent risk of such special activities and the strategies that must tie deployed in order to avoid potential accidental losses.
