Explainable AI for root cause analysis

The project will investigate Machine learning and AI based approaches for fault diagnosis. In particular, once a fault is detected by any machine learning method, the challenge is to identify the root cause variable. Techniques from explainable AI will be used to solve this problem. 

Skills required: Strong in linear algebra and related topics (CL701 course), programming in matlab/python.
