Investigations on electrochemical CO2 reductions to formate
The project is experimental and focuses on the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide into formate or other valuable products (1,2). It involves the synthesis of metals/alloys, the fabrication of gas diffusion electrodes, and their evaluation in a novel two-/three-electrode system.
The experimental work will include the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles. While the student is not required to have prior knowledge of electrochemistry, they are expected to develop expertise in advanced electroanalytical techniques and physical characterization methods during the project.
