This project involves microfluidic device fabrication and its testing, which is to be further enhanced from the current lab. version, to further understand the interaction between bacteria, nanoparticle and carbon-filter, in order to improve water disinfection at point-of-contact use, such as in domestic water-filter devices.
The work is mostly experimental with some scope for modeling flow and reaction in narrow dimensions of the device, based on student's interest.
This project is funded by SERB and one can work with a team of microbiologists and chemical engineers, who are students in our research group.
