Catalyst development for sustainable conversion of CO2 to chemicals

The development of catalytic processes for CO2 utilization and conversion to value-added materials is essential to achieve a sustainable and net-zero economy. The objective of this project is to develop advanced catalysts for the sustainable conversion of carbon dioxide to valuable chemicals such as alcohols.

The student will get hands-on experience in synthesis of new catalysts and determination of reaction kinetics. Advanced time-resolved techniques such as Temporal Analysis of Products (TAP) will be used to determine the reaction mechanism and chemical kinetics on the developed catalyst.
