Research Topic: Dynamics of Particle Laden Turbulent Flows

Research Summary: Particle laden turbulent flows are ubiquitous in natural phenomena and industrial processes. The turbulence modulation through Direct Numerical simulation (DNS) at high Reynolds number and for a system size of practical interest is almost impossible even with the recent development of high speed computing systems. Therefore, the objective of our work is to explore the applicability and accuracy of Large Eddy Simulations in predicting turbulence attenuation.

Research Interests: Particle Laden Turbulent Flows, Turbulence Modulation, CFD, Large Eddy Simulations
