Research Summary:

My research focus is on adaptive laboratory evolution of Mycobacterium smegmatis, a non-pathogenic homolog of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, under different temporal selection profiles to understand the mechanisms of resistance adopted during the evolution. This would shed light on novel targets and strategies to curb evolution of resistance in bacteria.
