Research Summary:

Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell line is one of the best candidates for recombinant protein production in the biopharmaceutical industry. I am working on developing a mammalian host cell line with enhanced secretion and productivity using cell engineering approaches. Previously, we have reported the pivotal role of Unfolded Protein Response (UPR) in enhancing the productivity of recombinant CHO cell lines. Based on this, I will be targeting the UPR to develop a blank host cell line with high secretory capacity.
