Swarnaditya Hazra

Hi I am Swarnaditya. I did my graduation in Chemical Engineering from University College of Science, Technology and Agricalture, University of Calcutta. After my graduation I spent a few years in different industries. Now I have decided to continue my Education. Currently I am doing my PhD from IITB. My PhD topic is “Pulmonary Mucus Dynamics and transport in human-lung capillaries”.

Mucus is a complex liquid present as a thin liquid lining in the lungs capillaries.  Under healthy conditions, it is responsible for protecting us from inhaled external agents. In certain circumstances, however, this liquid lining increases its thickness and causes several health issues. My goal is to understand the fluid dynamical behavior of this pulmonary mucus film
