Madhu Kiran Golla

Hi, I am Madhu Kiran Golla, I am pursuing my Dual Degree Program (B Tech + M Tech) in chemical engineering from IIT Bombay. My DD project is on the ‘Near-floor dynamics of a sedimenting droplet’.

About my DDP: Instabilities are present everywhere in the universe from the expansion of the universe to dripping water droplets from the ceiling. In our project, we are trying to understand how instabilities may arise during the drainage of air from underneath droplets sedimenting on a smooth substrate, and how this may cause the droplet to settle asymmetrically. We would also like to explore the role of the surface properties of the substrate, like liquid-coated substrate.
