Thesis research topic: Hollow fiber membranes and substrates based on them for hemodialysis and bioartificial liver applications

Research Summary:

My research area is biomaterials for biomedical applications. The motivation behind the research is to develop organ assist devices to support organ failure/diseased patients until one finds suitable organ donor or self-organ regeneration. We have developed and tested lab-scale bioreactor to support kidney and liver failure patients.
