My research aims to provide a proof-of-concept for the characterization of HeLa cell traction behavior on viscoelastic substrates. We're doing this by coupling Traction Force Microscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy experiments with the Finite Element simulations. Further, I'm also working on a research that aims to understand the effect of substrate pre-stress on cell behavior.
