Role of flexibility in the miscibility of polymer-nanorod composites

Polymer-nanorod composites have many emerging technology applications (semicondutors, optically-active materials, drug delivery, switchable devices, etc.).  Nanorod length, chemistry and flexibility are major factors controlling the miscibility of nanorods in a polymer melt.  In this project we will use molecular dynamics simulations to to explore the role of nanorod flexibity in the miscibility of such composite materials.
