Process intensification by reactive chromatography

The project deals with the development of new technology for esters of acetic acid using simulated moving bed reactors. Simultaneous removal of water during the course of reaction using adsorption helps shift the reaction in forward direction and increase the productivity.  The work involves generating kinetic data, developing kinetic model and optimizing the SMBR design and validating in the lab. It is combination of experiments and simulation. The extent of each can be decided based on student's interest.
