ORR/OER for metal air batteries

A decoupling scheme has been devised previously for the successful operation of metal-air rechargeable batteries. However, the OER/ORR is suboptimal. The project is to determine the effect of several parameters such as the electrolyte composition and pH for the air cell. This requires meticulous experiments to determine the OER/ORR kinetics. The student should be inclined towards analytical electrochemistry experiments. No prior experience in RDE is desired but some knowledge will be helpful.
