Nanocomposites for antimicrobial applications

Water-based nanocomposite coatings containing inorganic particles have applications in electronics, antibacterial, and photocatalytic applications. This project aims to develop metal nanoparticle based latex nanocomposites for antimicrobial applications.

In another related work, we focus on the synthesis of biopolymer based nanocomposites used as nano-preservative for controlling food-borne pathogens.
