Title
Green hydrogen issues and opportunities

Abstract:
Green Hydrogen mission announced by Government is extremely ambitious. There are incentives for production of green Hydrogen and for installation of electrolysers. However still lot of clarity is needed. Very recently emission norms were given. Several companies have given letter of intent for production and for electrolysers and most companies have MoU with foreign technology suppliers. Refineries are the largest users of Hydrogen for fuel sulphur reduction and have been notified for shift to green Hydrogen. As a part of Mission Innovation , several brainstorming sessions were held with Indian researchers. Also with Bains Co a detailed report on India's preparedness for green Hydrogen mission was prepared for World economic Forum and report released in Jan, 2024. Technology basics, R&D areas, our patenting and publications would be discussed.
