The Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Bombay, is pleased to announce the 64th Department Degree Award Function (DDAF) 2026, celebrating the successful completion of academic programmes by students receiving their Ph.D., Dual Degree, M.Tech., B.Tech., and BS degrees.
The Department Degree Award Function will be held on Sunday, 23 August 2026, at 9:45 a.m. at LA002, Lecture Hall Complex, IIT Bombay.
The Department is honoured to welcome Dr. Ashish Lele, Director of the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, as the Chief Guest for the occasion.
Dr. Ashish Lele is a distinguished chemical engineer and rheologist who has been associated with the National Chemical Laboratory since 1993. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware and is widely recognised for his research on the micro- and meso-structure of polymers.
The Department extends its heartiest congratulations to all the graduating students on this significant academic milestone. The occasion will bring together graduating students, their families, faculty members, and members of the IIT Bombay community to celebrate their achievements and mark the beginning of a new chapter in their professional and academic journeys.
