The Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Bombay, is pleased to welcome Prof. Ranjith Chiplunkar, who joined the Department as an Assistant Professor on 16 October 2026.

Prof. Chiplunkar holds a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Canada, and an M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay. His research interests include process systems engineering, probabilistic modelling, process control, and data-driven modelling, with applications in bioprocessing and advanced manufacturing.

The Department is delighted to welcome Prof. Chiplunkar and wishes him a rewarding and successful journey at IIT Bombay.
