I am working on 13C Metabolic Flux Analysis which is a tool developed to understand the cell metabolism and the carbon flux distribution in central metabolic pathways. We conduct dynamic labeling experiments, under diurnal variation for different seasons to study the variation in metabolic fluxes. I am also involved in studying the growth profile and relative metabolite abundance of microalgae grown in simulated pond condition, and in biochemical characterization of algal biomass to understand the changes in macromolecular tradeoff and cell growth under different conditions.
