Process Intensification using multifuctional reactors:

The work involves identifiaction of catalyst and determination of reaction knetics for a given reaction of industrial importance. It will also involve exploring the possibility of using multifunctional reactors such as reactive distillation and reactive chromatography through conceptual design tools. Laboratory experiments will be performed and the data will  be compared with the simulation results. The experimetnally validated simulator will thus be used for further optimization to derive the intesified process that outperfroms the conventional approach. The work has both experimental and simualtion components. Depending of student's interest it will relative contents would vary from 0-100%.
