Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulation for structure of fractal aggregates and their hydrodynamic properties

A simulation project for estimating mobility of nano-particle aggregates. These are looslely packed, non-spherical fluffy structures formed during processes such as synthesis of catalyst particles, transport of nano-particle slurries, transport of pollutants, etc..

The hydrodynamic mobility of clusters is often modelled using empirical relationships and parameters are found as fits to experimental data. In this projec, DEM simulations will be used to model the dynamics of aggregates, calculate mobility and check validity of the empirical relationships.
