Design and optimization of an air jet mill

Air jet mills are versatile equipment for fine grinding of powders and are widely used in industry. The objective of the present study is to understand the phenomena of fluid and particle flow inside the grinding chamber of the mill rising computational tools such as CFD and experimental tools such as particle image velocimetry. The understanding will help to optimize the design of air jet mill and develop new applications for the mill.
