Vacuum concentrator is an advanced drying technology, which consists of an air tight chamber with an internally mounted centrifuge rotor to instantly dry the sample. During centrifuge at vacuum condition, the solvent quickly escapes from the wet sample at low temperature. The released liquid vapor from the sample is usually pumped off through the vacuum pump. This instrument is extensively used in the chemical industry and in the laboratory for solid-liquid extraction, drying of wet samples and purification of proteins and nucleic acids.
