Our group has developed an optimization model that solves the biorefinery design problem. The model optimizes the biorefinery locations, procurement strategy, supply chain, and monthly scheduling. The objective of the proposed project is to develop a graphical user interface so that the model can be used for decision support. The optimization model has been written in GAMS. The interface will have to be developed in a suitable programming language like Java or Python. The project will involve extensive coding work.
