Experimental (and/or Numerical) investigation on the role of coating/cohesiveness on spouting behavior of particles

Fluid injected granular bed (spouted and fluidized bed) are extensively used in combustion and coating processes. The objective of the present project is to experimentally investigate the role of particle surface modification due to coating on the mechanism of onset of spouting/fluidization. Experimental results will be used to validate models used in CFD-DEM technique to describe the behavior of fluid injected dense granular bed.
