Design, modeling and simulation of valveless piezoelectric micropump

Valveless piezoelectric micropumps are finding increasing use in microfluidics technology as they are simple to design and exhibit quick but large response. However, design parameters such as mechanical response of the piezo electric material, size and geometry of pump elements, as well as  operating conditions such as voltage, frequency and pressures are closely coupled. The objective of the present work is optimal design of these micropumps using Ansys fluid structure interaction (FSI).
