Research Interests:

  • Process modeling and simulation – thermodynamic, kinetic, steady state, dynamic modeling, sensitivity analysis
  • Chemical Looping Processes – process modeling and simulation, techno-economic analysis for chemical looping combustion (CLC), chemical looping water splitting (CLWS), chemical looping reforming (CLR)
  • Polygeneration processes for CO2 capture, storage and utilization – conceptual process development, modeling & simulation, feasibility studies
  • Process control – formulating control strategies, developing control logic, ML based soft sensing

  • Industrial collaboration with R&D-Metals and Mining, Aditya Birla Science & Technology, Navi Mumbai, India on Development of ML based soft sensor and control strategy for quality parameters in alumina calcination plant
