Orbital shaker

Orbital shaker.jpg
Orbital shaker is used for growing microbial culture in a suitable environment. It provides the required optimal mixing and ambient temperature to grow microbial cells. The system can be operated from 30 to 350 RPM and the temperature can be maintained preferably from 37°c to 80°c. It facilitates the orbitory swirling motion which helps in the efficient growth of microorganism. This instrument is widely used in bio-research labs.

This particular centrifuge can be used for vaccum drying and purification of nucleic acids and proteins from aqueous and non-aqueous solvents. It has four heating levels – 30, 45, 60°C and ambient. Vaccum pumps provide a vaccum of less than 10mbar. This is present to gently concentrate the sample without any loss of sample. There are 48 position fixed angle rotor for 1.5/2 ml microcentrifuge tubes. These rotors have fast deceleration.
