Modeling pearling instability in Cylindrical vesicles:

The project involves modeling?? pearling instability in cylindrical
vesicles. Pearling is formation of pearls in cylindrical vesicles,
which often connect cells as well as organelles within a cell.
Pearling can occur because of several factors like laser beam, flow,
polymer induced, etc. Recently, we found that electric field can
induce pearls in cylindrical vesicles. The project would involve
modeling pearling induced by electric field.
