Azeotropy '09

The common complaint against chemical engineers has been their disregard for environment and natural habitat. We've often been blamed as being responsible, directly or indirectly for all the pollution in the world! Little do people realize that chemical engineers are also the ones who come up with technologies to combat pollution in all its forms.

In appreciation of the ceaseless work done by chemical engineers towards developing greener technologies and to spread awareness amongst budding young chemical engineers about the role they will have to play to ensure a greener and cleaner plant, ChEA is organizing 'AZeotropy 2k9 - We Mean Green'.

With over 100 big colleges, 100 delegates from industry & academia and 1000 participants from across the country, you surely don't want to miss the opportunity to be a part of this year's AZeotropy!

Earth Hour

This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming. For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity  to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a  vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes,  which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

The Mayor of mumbai Shubha Raul will launch the Earth Hour campaign at Azeotropy '09!
